Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shampoo Review

I had always used Paul Mitchell shampoo when I was growing up as my mother always bought the biggest bottle they had of it. It was the baby smelling shampoo with the bright yellow accents.

I'm not quite sure what brand it was but I just remember how good my hair looked after using it. Sometimes my scalp can get really dry and cause little flakes to fall of when I itch my head. On certain days the dandruff can get so bad that I don't even want to leave the house. On the positive side, I have dirty blonde hair which helps it show much less than a person with black hair would. I needed a miracle product and head & shoulders shampoo just wasn't cutting it. My mother (a professional hairstylist) went to her beauty supply store to look around and see if she could find something for me. A salon owner recommended this Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shampoo for anyone having scalp issues.

My mom brought a huge green bottle home of the tea tree shampoo for me. I was wondering why she chose the biggest one since we didn't even know if it'd help. She assured me this was my solution so I hopped in the shower to test it out. I put about a quarter size of the tea tree product on my palm and rubbed it together. There was a great lather that formed which meant it would spread evenly on my hair. The smell was amazing, a light lavender smell which reminded me of lilacs. I then applied it to my scalp and massaged it in only to feel a sort of "tingle" sensation happen. It felt great on my scalp and the bit of minty smell made me feel refreshed. This tea tree shampoo is my favorite product to use in my morning showers because it wakes you up! After I let my hair air dry, my scalp felt much better and I didn't even see a flake fall all day! This Paul Mitchell tea tree shampoo is fantastic. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a wonderful shampoo. Although it is spendy, I believe it is worth every penny. Keune De-Frizz Shampoo Review

I had been looking for the right shampoo for a very long time. My hair drives me absolutely insane with its frizziness.

I think I have tried every shampoo in the drugstore to try to solve my frizzy hair problem. My mother is a hairstylist and she found a product called Keune de-frizz shampoo in the beauty supply store. She said she saw a salon owner buy all the Keune products in stock off the shelves. That was a great sign that this brand could work great. I was skeptical but I had nothing to lose to try another type of shampoo. The thing that drew me in was the shampoo bottle container. It is the coolest shampoo bottle I've ever seen. It is a rounded flat bottle that is see-through with lime green product in it.

I got in the shower and wet my hair down. I put about a nickel size amount of the Keune shampoo in my palms and rubbed together. The product didn't soap up very much but maybe it was because I didn't use enough. It was sort of difficult to spread out evenly on my hair because it didn't have the greatest lathering effect. The smell was nice, nothing too amazing but I liked it. When I got out of the shower I let my hair air dry. This is no means a miracle product but it does tame some of the frizz..about 40% I would say. I used this Keune frizz shampoo for about a week and realized it was creating some waxy build up on my scalp. As with all the frizz control shampoos I buy, this usually happens. I would recommend this product but only use it maybe for 2-3 times a week and stick with conditioner.

Here is the Keune De-Frizz Shampoo description:

Keune Blend De-Frizz Shampoo Rich hydrating shampoo. Prevents static and frizzy hair. Encapsulates the hair without weighing it down; Frizzy hair becomes smooth and shiny; Moisturizes the hair and protects against mechanical damage; Color safeUse: Apply a small amount of De-Frizz Shampoo to wet hair, massage it into the hair, rinse and follow with the De-Frizz Conditioner.

UltraSwim Chlorine Removal Shampoo Review

I have been a huge swimmer for years since I live in a place with a pool. In the summer I would go swimming every other day for exercise and to just cool off. I have naturally blonde hair that turns a hint of green even after one time of dipping in a chlorine filled pool! I was using a different brand of chlorine removal shampoo but it just didn't do the trick. I finally found this UltraSwim chlorine removal shampoo in the store for a reasonable price. I immediately grabbed it out of desperation of my green hair!

The first time I used this chlorine removal shampoo, I had to use more than a quarter size dollop to really get it to  lather. I let it sit for around 2-3 minutes and then rinsed it off. It sort of had an odd smell so I used my regular shampoo afterwards. Not only was the green tint gone but my hair felt silky smooth and much more healthier! Chlorine really dries out my hair but this shampoo did its job great. I use UltraSwim every time I get out of the pool now and my hair feels fabulous.

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Shampoo Review

I had been looking for a shampoo that would really make my hair look healthy and bring out the natural blonde in it. When I purchased John Frieda's sheer blonde shampoo, it was on sale for a decent amount of money. It claimed to activate highlights and enhance your blonde hair. You must know that I am a natural born blonde and have never dyed it in my life. I figured what the heck and bought it anyway. I went home and took a shower right away with the sheer blonde shampoo. I put a quarter sized dollop in my hand and rubbed together. Unfortunately there was hardly a lather that formed. It was difficult to spread it on evenly throughout my whole head since it didn't foam much. The smell was alright, nothing spectacular but it was bearable. I rinsed the sheer blonde shampoo out and my hair felt silky smooth.

A few hours after washing my hair with this John Frieda product, and letting it air dry I couldn't believe my eyes. I looked in the mirror and it was like my natural blonde highlight streaks in my hair were back from summer! In the winter my hair gets a nasty dirty dishwasher color but this really helped. I found out that I cannot use this shampoo everyday though, as it created a buildup on my scalp. If I were to use this more often, I would have to switch between a clarifying shampoo to get rid of the waxy buildup. I would recommend this sheer blonde shampoo as a substitute one, not an everyday one.

Suave Clarifying Shampoo Review

I have the most greasiest blonde hair in the world. I wash my hair and the next day I am a complete grease monkey. It is so frustrating and a hassle to deal with my whole life! I researched online for shampoos that would soak up some of the oils/grease and found Suave Clarifying shampoo. It is the cheapest shampoo you can find in the drugstores (around $1.00) so I thought I would give it a go. The first time I washed my hair with this shampoo, it lathered up pretty well and smelled decent. It really dried up my hair (yay!) and made it less shiny and greasy looking. I think it is a very powerful shampoo and should only be used every other day or once a week for some. I personally use it everyday and have been pleased with the result. I never use conditioner because my hair is already too smooth and slick. I would recommend switching between this shampoo and your regular one throughout the week to get rid of build up and grease. Suave clarifying shampoo can definitely be a life safe, what do you have to lose?!
