Revlon Doubletwist Mascara Review

I bought this mascara at my local drugstore and it is not what I had expected. This Revlon doubletwist mascara is not high quality at all.

The tube looks nice at first but when you open it up the wand bristles are too hard and scratchy on your eyes. The double twist mascara product itself is a bit dry and flaky too. When I first dipped my mascara wand into the tube it came out SO clumpy that I had to wipe excess off with a kleenex! I really can't believe Revlon is selling this mascara in the stores still because it makes them look horrible. By the end of the day I had black flakes all over under my eyes. I couldn't believe what a hassle this eye product was. I threw my doubletwist away the second day. I definitely would not recommend this mascara to anyone who is looking for a miracle.

Here is the Revlon DoubleTwist Mascara product description:

  • Combines the lash building properties of a traditional brush with the comb-through precision of a molded brush for the ultimate lash look
  • Traditional mascara bristles build volume & curl, defining bristles comb through for beautiful separation
  • Creates ultra-defined, voluptuously volumized lashes

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick Review

I love to go shopping at my local drugstore to see if I can find a gem within lip products. One day I was searching for a cheap lipstick that I could try.

I saw Revlon Colorburst Lipstick sitting on the shelf and was immediately drawn to it. I just love the tube it comes in, it is super chic and fun to pull out to use. It was at a reasonable price so I bought it.

When I got home I went to try it on in the bathroom. I first smelled the tube which had no scent which was awesome. I absolutely hate those cheap lipsticks that smell like plastic. When I applied this colorburst lipstick to my lips, it went on nice and evenly. This Revlon lipstick definitely moisturizes your lips as you wear it all day. The product itself is creamy and highly pigmented. I was very surprised how pleased I was to have boughten this lipstick. Another plus about this colorburst lipstick is that you can build upon it with other products. I love to put this Revlon lipstick on first and then apply clear gloss on top of it. I would recommend this lipstick to anyone looking for a cheap quality lipstick! In fact, I have three colors of these colorbursts and I am going back to buy more :)

Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain Review

I am always on the lookout for new lip glosses and stains at my local drugstore. I become excited when I find a rare gem in the makeup section!

I saw a cute looking lip stain tube on the shelf called Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain in bright pink. It was on sale at the time for a reasonable price (you can find cheaper alternatives on Amazon.com too).

When I first tried on this Just Bitten lip stain, I noticed that the tip applicator was really fine. It was sort of difficult  to apply it to my lips without seeing streaks go across it. I put Revlon's stain on and did my usual morning routine. About an hour or two later I looked in the mirror and saw that this lip stain had worn off! I don't think it's fair for Revlon to call it a stain when it doesn't even work that way. I would recommend if you have dry chapped lips to not use this product. The stain clings to the dry parts and makes it look horrible. On the positive side, this Just Bitten lip stain brings gorgeous color to your lips at first. All the colors of this Revlon collection are brilliant but just beware if you are going to wear a dark color, hours later it will turn into an ugly pinkish color. Overall I wouldn't recommend this product but I think after reading other reviews online, it works great for other people.

Revlon Nail Enamel Review

I always love to try new nail polishes from my local drugstores because you never know when you'll find something good. I was searching through the makeup isle one day and saw that Revlon was having a sale on nail polish. I saw the product Revlon Nail Enamel and saw they had a variety of colors. They even had scented Revlon nail enamels! I bought one regular and one strawberry scented nail enamel at a reasonable price.

For the cost of these Revlon nail polishes, the quality is pretty good. When I applied it to my fingernails it went on smooth and displayed a vibrant color. I put a top coat on my nails to make it shinier though as once it dried, the color dulled. About two days went by after I had applied this to my nails and almost every nail was chipped. I don't use my hands much so that says a lot right there. I would recommend this nail enamel to anyone who has a special one night event and needs a pretty color.
